Hello Giln , ( got the following from a friend )the OVFY is quite simple , it is basically just for if you are flying a route , and there is a sharp turn from one waypoint to another ( over 60 degrees or something ) , usually the airbus will turn earlier than the waypoint itself , so it can level out on the next track , and it doesnt actually touch the waypoint ( turns before it ). So , the OVFY button tells it to fly RIGHT TO that waypoint ( 0.0 NM ) , and then turn to the following track. To insert one , just go to the " Flight Plan " page , choose the waypoint ( or if ATC have told you ) to fly over , and press then OVFY button , a small triangle apears in the typing line. Then click the Line Select Key with the waypoint you want to choose on it , and the small triangle moves to beside that waypoint. You can insert more than one but remember it inst needed to often , as the routes are usually quite straight.Hope i helped :)Calum

If the OVFY button is set then the aircraft will not change its course until it has overflown the current waypoint. It is better to leave this de-selected so that the aircraft turns 1 mile or so before and is able to stay on the desired flight path easier.
