Landing Lights go up when wheels do

Recommended Posts

Guest jetBlue4

Hi all. I am using the PSS panel with an IFDG aircraft. Whenever I have my landing lights on and I put my wheels up the landing lights go off. If I leave the landing light switch on and put my wheels down then they come back on. It is not my CFG b/c I tried my CFG with a default 737 panel and did not get that problem. It is only when the PSS panel is being used. Thanks for your help!KK

Yeah this happens with my Landing lights too. As soon as you put the wheels up the landing lights go into the wheel wells. This is with the A320 mind you. Is this supposed to happen and is that what happens on the real A320??

So this is a universal problem? Ok, just wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with my PSS. So there are no fixes? Thanks for clarifying.

On the real A320 you can put the landing lights down whenver you want. There is a 250 KIAS limitation however, so putting them down in cruise would likely result in them separating from the aircraft. Normal procedures require landing lights on decending through 10000 feet, being that you are at 250 KIAS anyhow.
