Engines stopping when descending flaps

The engines will only stop if you turn them off or you run out of fuel or you switch off the generators or batteries. Well I had no problem with the A32x series before but now I get RAT OUT every time I'm on approach and lower the flaps. Engines die, cant restart them whatever I try.Anyone got an idea what that can be?

Hi ,I can't succeed in take off as when I descend flaps my engines stop ! What just happens and what should I do to correct the situation. I tried the manuals but can't find my problem. I bought the product a year or two ago but still can't fly !;(Please help !Andr

Check your key assignments. Quite clearly there is a conflict between your flaps and fuel cutoff.

Make sure that the fuel mode selector between the 2 ctr tank pump selector switches is in auto. If not, it will feed fuel from the ctr tank until the flaps are down, then by logic the fuel feed from the ctr tank is stopped. This means that if you are doing a manual fuel feed, and the wing tanks are empty, when flaps are set down to any position, the fuel to engines will be attempted to be done from the wings, which are empty.

I am having the same problem, Although I checked my key assignments and everything and I do not have the flaps switch (F7) as fuel cutoff (It also happens when I do it manually when I click the flaps on the panel). I had plenty of fuel so it wasn't that I ran out of fuel, I also made sure that the 2 ctr tank pump selectors were auto. It also showed that my left and right fuel tank had "fault" letter in orange above the left and right fuel selector switches when the rat out happened. Any idea of what it could be or how I can fix it, thx.Tyler

It could be caused by the dead battery glitch. No I choose the PSS Airbus and then start my session. Then standard start up procedure. Not sure why it is doing it now because I never had this problem before.Tyler

I think you misunderstand me: the default flight when you first load up the simulator must be a default MS aircraft. I use the Boeing 737 but have never ever actually flown it or even turned on the engines. I then switch to a cold and dark Airbus, switch to the airport and gate I want to start from and begin the Before Start cehcklist. Ahhh I see so I need to start with a default aircraft then switch to PSS Airbus and that should fix it possibly?

I turn base, lower flaps...and RAT OUT.... Not to sure why this is now just starting to happen. I recently installed AS5 and FS Passangers. I've switched FSUIPC to extended battery life...hopefully that fixes the problem...P.S. - I had to do a water landing off the coast of Vancouver in the A320 as a result of this bug....111 on board...44 killed (accorsing to FSp). :)
