Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I have seen some posts about problems with autoland in the A320. I too have the same problem and noticed replies about changing the lift_scalar section.I can't find this section anywhere on my aircraft cfg, what heading is it supposed to be under?Look forward to repliesGavin Moss

What problems are you having with autoland? If it is that the nose is pitched wrongly on finals then the lift scalar can help with this, but if it is something else then changing the lift_scalar entries won't solve it.For reference the lift_scalar values are in the flaps.0 and flaps.1 section of the aircraft.cfg. The following entries are from one of my A320 IAEs:[Flaps.0]type=1span-outboard = 0.78extending-time = 14flaps-position.0 = 0.0, 0flaps-position.1 = 1.0, 230 //Conf. 1 Intermediate approachflaps-position.2 = 10.0, 215 //Conf. 1+F Take offflaps-position.3 = 15.0, 200 //Conf. 2 Take off and Approachflaps-position.4 = 20.0, 185 //Conf. 3 Take off, Approach, and Landingflaps-position.5 = 40.0, 177 //Conf "Full" Landingdamaging-speed = 230.0blowout-speed = 250.0lift_scalar = 0.547 //0.57drag_scalar = 1.25pitch_scalar = 0system_type = 1 //Hydraulic[flaps.1] type=2 // 1 - tail, 2 - leadspan-outboard = 0.85extending-time = 4flaps-position.0 = 0, 0flaps-position.1 = 18, 230 //Conf. 1 Intermediate approachflaps-position.2 = 22, 215 //Conf. 1+F Take offflaps-position.3 = 22, 200 //Conf. 2 Take off and Approachflaps-position.4 = 22, 185 //Conf. 3 Take off, Approach, and Landingflaps-position.5 = 27, 177 //Conf "Full" Landingdamaging-speed = 230blowout-speed = 250lift_scalar = 0.5 //0.55 drag_scalar = 0.4pitch_scalar = 0.2system_type = 1 //HydraulicRob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
