engine out on startup whilst flying online

Recommended Posts

Sometimes when I start up my bus using ctrl E both engines appear to fire up but when I advnce the throttles to taxi out only the no 1 engine responds leading the aircraft to go around in circles ( if I let it ).Trying to start no 2 manually has no effect. I always start FS9 using the default a/c before switching to Airbus. Is it bad practice to start engines the lazy way. Any ideas please. John

You've answered your own question, yes it is lazy to start the engines using ctrl E and risks, as you have found, getting the engines out of sync. The engines are supposed to be started as per SOPs by starting one engine - some airlines start engine 1 first, some start engine 2 first - then waiting until it is stable then starting the second (and so oon if you are in the A340).Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Thanks for the quick reply Rob. I'll start engines the "real way " from now on. John
