Recording A330 flight parameters

Recommended Posts

Guest Zfred

Hi. I'm doing some research on human factors in aviation and in my lab' we are particulary interested in modelling conflict that may occur between aircrews and their autopilot. Therefore I use FS2004 and Airbus add-on (A330/A340) to conduct my research. But is it possible to record into a file the flight parameters and especially autopilot parameters so as to detect such conflicts?Thank you very much for your help. Fred

I don't know of any way of doing it but such a utility would be very useful and interesting. I would think that the parameters you are after might be collected, monitored and/or controlled by FSUIPC..... But in looking for the url of Pete Dowson's forum I see that you've already asked him about this and he referred you back to PSS. As the source code for the PSS Airbus cannot be released I suspect we are unable to help you.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

You can get most of the AFCS state information right from the FCU...it's possible to analyze the FCU indications by scanning the display itself and looking for color ranges on strategically placed pixels within the display. Basically you'd be using the same state information available to the pilot.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile
