A320 APU Question

Recommended Posts

I fired up the A320 and noticed there isnt any indication of fuel being used while the APU is on. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem and if so howd they fix it.

I dont believe its modeled in FS. Either way, max fuel used is only 320 lb/hr, so its pretty irrelevant anyhow.

Yes the APU fuel is relevant and should always be part of the fuel planning for your flight and must be included in the block fuel figure entered into the MCDU. If you leave the aircraft at the stand for a while with the APU you will see that the FOB figure on the ECAM does come down.No there will not be an update for the A320 family (a question we answer here at the forum at least once a week! :)). We have to hope that the executives on the top floor of PSS Towers decide to release a whole new A320 family. But commercial considerations and the release at the end of the year of FSX will play a part in any decision.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
