Why is the airbus not lined up when landing with an ILS

The airbus, no matter which one, is never lined up with the runway, no matter what wind conditions and what airport, the #### thing is never lined up! It is really frustraing landing on the grass because you follow the FD! Can somebody please fix this problem!P.S Can I edit the APTuning or the config file to make the loc and appr phases more accurate? Also so for the language, I'm really fed up.

It must be frustrating but your "Can someone fix..." statement infers that it is a general problem which we must all be experiencing. Not so.It seems to me you might be have dodgy navdata. Have you tried downloading and installing the latest AIRAC cycle (0513) from www.navdata.at? That might help. There are also errors in some of the data in FS. There are a few runways where I am brought in off centerline. It happens with other aircraft as well. So it is not an issue with this aircraft.

Well, I've tried installing the ARIAC files. Nothing has worked at all. Also I know others who are experiencing the same problem.

I have had the same problem for weeks. Yesterday I was about to uninstall the Airbuses due to frustration. Yes I have the latest AIRAC files navdata etc. I discovered yesterday that if the aircraft is vectored "Right traffic" it will align with the runway but never when vectored "left Approach". Someone please help because this is a big frustration.Seetella

giln, is there any chance you could post a screenshot showing exactly what the problem is.Seetella, I'm not sure what you mean by left approach and right traffic but maybe that is something to do with FS9 ATC? I've never used FS9 ATC but I would rather doubt that it has anything to do with this problem. Again, a screenshot might (might) help us nail this one.One issue which many pilots have, and I'm one, is that the glideslope indicator is about a half dot too high all the way down the glideslope leading to the "glideslope glideslope" warning. This is even though the PAPI lights show the aircraft is bang on the glideslope. I've tried several things in the air file etc to solve that but have come to the conclusion that it's something buried deep in the gauge file. It's odd because again it doesn't seem to affect everyone and only started under FS9. If I am vectored to "fly right downwind for runway X or right base for runway X" the locliser works fine. If it's from the left then it does not work. ie if the approach comprises a series of right turns it works and if it comprises a series of left turns it does not work. I tried without fs9 atc with a full LNAV approach to LOC but, without STARS, for FADN rway 6 or FAJS rway 3L or FAPE rway 8. If I approach from the north, ie a left turn, the MFD shows the change from NAV to LOC but the LOC turns the plane past the localiser and does not return to capture it. Again if I approach from the south, ie right turn it works fine.Seetella

A couple of things to check: On the default Microsoft aircraft which you have as your default flight or load when you start your FS session before switching to the Airbus, check that the NAV/GPS switch is set to NAV.On the MCDU in the RAD NAV page when you are next on approach check what course is showing at line select key 2 left (marked CRS), sometimes these can be a bit out for the runway, particularly if you have loaded new scenery for the airport.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
