Block is the total amount of fuel you need to load. It should include:Trip distanceTaxi timeAlternate distanceAPU fuelHolding FuelContingencyFinal reserveadjustment for:Zero fuel weightplanned flight levelaircraft type (A319, or A320 or A321)headwind or tailwindtotal air temperatureThere is a spreadsheet in the Speedbirdonline Airbus hangar in my address below to help you calculate the block fuel to enter into the MCDU.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Speaking of head/tailwind, is there a tool or site anywhere that would calculate the average winds aloft along the entered route and altitude for other than USA? (for USA, there's http://www.rvproject.com/wx/ )
