VS at high altitude

I was wondering whether the optimum FL as specified by the MCDU works for iFDG A32x aircraft / PSS merge. I was just flying the iFDG A319 (IAE) with a TOW of approx 147000 lbs and the MCDU suggested FL357 as optimal (max FL375). As I approached FL330, my VS was around 800-900 when set at CL power for OP CLM. By FL350 my VS was around 600. Does this seem reasonable? I'm especially curious because on a previous flight (A319 with similar load), MSFS gave me an "aircraft overstressed" warning (essentially a crash) on my climb up to FL360 as suggested by the MCDU.Thanks,Alden
