Airbus Pro Series approach attitude

Recommended Posts

Good day,I've been flying the A320 extensively and the nose attitude during the approach is not completely realistic. It also happens with the A319.I have been told that Bob Scott prepared a modification of the flight dynamics for these aircraft which corrected this problem.I have been unable to find this file to modify the original one. Does anyone have any idea about where to find this file or whether is there any other way to solve this? Thanks in advance,Llu

I believe Bob's modifications were for the 33x and 34x only. If you can't locate them here or on Bob's site, post an address and I would be glad to send it your way if it's not too big. As for changes you can make your self, make use of the forum and read, the same exact question came up 2 days ago and is a whole 4 or 5 subjects below this one. I know it's an awfully long ways to have to scroll. :

If you are flying the pure PSS Airbus (i.e. not the iFDG/PSSmerge) make sure in your flaps.0 section you have thefollowing lift_scalar entries depending on the Airbus typeyou are flying:A319 and A320:[Flaps.0]type=1span-outboard=0.500000extending-time=20.000000system_type=1flaps-position.0=0.000000,0.000000flaps-position.1=7.998491,0.000000flaps-position.2=15.996982,0.000000flaps-position.3=23.995472,0.000000flaps-position.4=31.993963,0.000000flaps-position.5=39.992454,0.000000lift_scalar = 1.42 A321:[Flaps.0]type=1span-outboard=0.500000extending-time=20.000000system_type=1flaps-position.0=0.000000,0.000000flaps-position.1=7.998491,0.000000flaps-position.2=15.996982,0.000000flaps-position.3=23.995472,0.000000flaps-position.4=31.993963,0.000000flaps-position.5=39.992454,0.000000lift_scalar = 0.926That should help reduce the nose-high attitude.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.ukThis is Rob's data about the flap settings. My question is; Rob I've checked my flaps settings in the .cfg file however everything matches this information above in my text except the "lift_scalar = 0.926" information. In all of my .cfg files which i expect to be in conformity with A319/320/321 this scalar data seem to be missing, do you think i should add this in the last line ??Thanks,Batur
