Another Limitation to Max Performance Beyond Frame Rate

Recommended Posts

Guest

Finally a screaming machine to conquer and demolish Frame Rate reductions in heavy scenery/panels. Built from scratch and dedicated to FS2002 (Nada Programs on the HD - Just FS2002). Optional seatbelt and airbag for crashes installed. Did it wipe out the slide shows? You bet. With Sliders bent to the wall we were seeing 20-25 in Lago's LAX right on the tarmac! But WHOA!. We hit the next wall to vex our quest for the holy and beloved frame rate. After two or three minutes of lapping up great vids and eye candy, the processor Cooling Alert came on beeping and popping up saying I was in the red, like 130 F. What to do? Keep on flying and burn the house down? Set the threshold temp high enough? Buy an external blower fan? Folks, there may be no way to see this stuff at Max . What did they test this scenery on? A nitrogen cooled Cray?Fedmediate aka Max Slider and having a street name of "Lt. Will Risket" when driving the U.S. Navy's good stuff a very long time ago.Intel® MOBO D845PESV Pentium 4 3.07 GHzGForce TI 4600 Video CardNVidia 41.09 DriverDDR333 1,024 MB RAMMaxtor 120 G HDSoundblaster Live PlatinumWindows 2000 version 5.0 SP 3DirectX 8.2
