Black windows on 2D panel

Recommended Posts

Guest A-floor

Doesn't work. What it's strange is that all my sideviews are OK... but when I look at the 2d panel, just a black hole instead of the outside view. Plus when The panel is loaded, it's shifted up, I always have to drag it down. Never had this before...

Alejandro,Was it always like this? If not what has changed? To confirm, this is based on an install using the latest base installer from MY FILES?

Ok, I've found the problem. Actually, I've installed the latest base installer from MY FILES and then added the patch for the flickering mouse and that's where the problem was. Now I've just installed the base installer without adding the patch which is on the PSS website. Thanks for your help guys!Alejandro

I have the same problem as this gentlemen, but no resolution.<<"Now I've just installed the base installer without adding the patch which is on the PSS website.">>I tried this and I still get the mouse flicker; should I still be seeing mouse flicker with the current base installer? Thanks,Dave Leh

Could you check the window08 section of your panel.cfg which should have the following:Background_color=16,16,16size_mm=2,2position=7visible=1ident=59gauge00=PSS-A320!Server, 0, 0, 1Edit: just a thought but if you are using the CD version rather than the download version then you should download the patch from ftp://80.68.88.211/jf/free_updates/a320update2004.exeRob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Sorry, I forgot to mention; I did check this:Background_color=16,16,16size_mm=2,2position=7visible=1ident=59gauge00=PSS-A320!Server, 0, 0, 1 line and yes, and that's what it says.Dave Leh

OK. It could be that the window behind the panel is still sized incorrectly so in that case you might want to try having the IFR panel up covering most of the screen. Then drag it down so that it only just shows. You might then find that you can re-size the screen behind so that it covers the screen. Then drag the panel back to where it was. I'm not convinced this will solve your problem but it's worth a go. Let me know how you get on.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/180852.jpgIf it doesn't work I suggest you download the base installer again from the PSS website and re-install.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Ok, will try to re-install. BUT, could you tell me when I use the latest base installer SHOULD I need to use the mouse flicker patch or not? for some reason, when I installed it last week, I still had the flicker, thus I installed the patch....
