Inserting Airways in the FMC

Recommended Posts

HelloI try to insert airways instead of waypoints in the FMC (in order to not insert all waypoints one by one in the F-PLAN page), but the answer of the fmc is :" Not in database".However, the files PSSAWY.dat is present in my navdatafolder. What's wrong please ?Gilles MenghettiLFMN

Nothing is wrong, you are probably just not doing it right. On the F-PLAN page LSK on a waypoint and use GO TO/VIA (waypoint)/(airway) to insert an airway./Rob

Yeah, it's not a Boeing FMC. As Rob said press the LSK next to the route entry point on the plan page. You will be transferred to another page where you will need to input the route identifier and route exit point. An example would be: J99/XZY. When you RSK the entry you will be put back on the plan page with an RSK for "INSERT". Press that key and the new data will appear in the plan. The DIRECT TO is a function key, not like a BOEING FMC where you do that on the LEGS page.
