Flightplan Updater?

Recommended Posts

I have read somewhere about a Flightplan Updater for the A320, but I must have either somehow erased it, or never had it. I know it's supposed to be in the PSS/A3XX folder... isn't it? Is there somewhere I can download it from?My problem is that the A320 will not follow my routes created in FSBuild. I've updated the Airac, too. Thanks in advance...- daniel- daniel

I vaguely recall a flightplan updater but neither have it nor know what it did. I've never had a problem with flight plans exported from FSBuild into the A320 MCDU. Check you've got the path setup correctly in the options page of FSBuild. Check too that you are actually exporting it to the A320 by making sure the PSS A320 line is checked in the FSbuild Export To Menu. Also check that in the Data page of the MCDU that the correct AIRAC is showing up. Also of course you must be in managed heading to follow the flightplan in the MCDU but I guess you knew that anyway :) Can you post here the route you are flying and where the aircraft deviates from the flightplan. We can then load that into FSBuild, export it and see what happens.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Actually, I just have the MCDU import the FS9 flightplan, from the DATA screen. Here's the flightplan, which I generated with the Web_Planners/Route Finder internet option. Seems to work for all my other add-ons, including my PSS 777-200LR.EGKK DVR8V UL9 KONAN UL607 AMASI UM149 BOMBI UL984 SULUS UZ650 VEMUT UZ37 MASUR LOWWThanks for taking a look at this.- daniel

There doesn't seem anything wrong with that flightplan, but from waht you say it seems you are not exporting from FSBuild directly to the PSS A320 but exporting in FS9 format then importing into the MCDU. try exporting directly in PSS A320 format and loading that flightplan and see if there is an improvement.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Sorry for the delay in answering (my internet went down). This seems to work... MOST of the time. However, it still occasionally refuses to jump to the next waypoint when it passes over one. I think it's because it doesn't clear the T/C, but perhaps this is just incidental. The only way to make it go on is to clear the previous waypoint manually. I have a registered copy of FSUIPC (3.7.0.0)... is there something in here that might help?- daniel

Any chance of a screenshot of the MCDU and your glareshield when it's happening (either here or by email)? I can't think why this would be unless your TOD is before your TOC. But I doubt you've made that mistake. I don't think it's anything in FSUIPC as that doesn't control or affect the flightplan. So I'm struggling a bit here - but in my defence I'm tired after a long few days of work in London followed by a very bumpy flight back up here this afternoon. Well that's my excuse anyway. Someone else might have the solution but meanwhile a screenshot might point me in the right direction (towards the pub!)Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Strangely, Rob, all seems to be working perfectly now. Don't know what I did - or what happened - but everything is perfect. Thanks for your help, though.I'm working on a FLEX chart right now of the aircraft... I wonder if your might shed some light on how close this might be. (I know people have been asking for it, because I was looking for it myself.) So far it seems to be working FAIRLY well. I must point out that my aircraft if a PSS/IFDG merge. Here it is so far... If you do a search for flex in this forum you'll see that I have previously posted a chart minus your weight column. This is shown below again for info. One thing you must factor in is the error in the flex programming by whoever did it originally. In order to get any reduction in threust you must enter a MINUS flex as in your assumed temp colum). In the real world this woulds be a positive figure.FLEX N1%-10 96.1-11 96.0-12 95.8-13 95.6-14 95.5-15 95.3-16 95.2-17 95.0-18 94.9-19 94.7-20 94.5-21 94.4-22 94.2-23 94.1-24 93.9-25 93.8-26 93.6-27 93.5-28 93.3-29 93.1-30 93.0-31 92.8-32 92.7-33 92.5-34 92.4-35 92.2-36 92.1-37 91.9-38 91.7-39 91.6-40 91.4-41 91.3-42 91.1-43 91.0-44 90.8-45 90.7-46 90.5-47 90.3-48 90.2-49 90.0-50 89.9-51 89.7-52 89.6-53 89.4-54 89.3-55 89.1-56 88.9-57 88.8-58 88.6-59 88.5-60 88.3Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Oh, yes, I know. I'm sorry I should have mentioned that I used your figures for this chart, gathered from another post. I was just hoping that the weights were halfway correct. I'm still in the process of testing them, but so far... so good.- daniel
