A319 cruise stall

Recommended Posts

Guest ktaliana

Hi Guys,I am climbing to cruise level and have the wind changing direction. This reduces your speed and halts the climb...then it continues after reaching the correct speed again..but it takes ages.If you leave this situation the aircraft goes into Alpha floor and stalls..and this all happens because the winds change direction reducing speed and the aircraft crashes.Any replies please?Kennneth

wind changes in FS9 can be interesting. if you have a paid/registered version FSUIPC you can slow the speed of changes to wind direction and velocity made by the FS weather engine. with a slower transition aircraft autopilots are better able to 'keep up' with FS's weather.--

I thoroughly endorse the suggestion to get the registered FSUIPC which will amongst other things allow you to smooth out these spikes in the wind. I would also recommend you get Activesky 6.5 from www.hifisim.com which gives much better, more realistic weather, rain, clouds etc etc and also seems to stop the sudden wind shifts, probably because it's a much better weather engine than the default. Both registered FSUIPC and ASV6.5 are payware I'm afraid but well worth it.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
