Which part of the flight is this happening on, climb or approach? I assume it's the climb. What ZFW (zero fuel weight) have you entered into the MCDU and what fuel have you entered into the MCDU Block Fuel and FS9 Fuel and Payload. Did you by any chance shoot through V2+10 after take off to a faster speed and tehn when you engaged autopilot the nose pitched up violently to get the speed back to V2+10. A bit more info will help. I'm very newbie with Airbus. I'm only testing the plane. I've just started FS2004, selected Airbus A340 and Full-trotthle for take off.Didn't do anymore configuration. I know I have to read de manuals.I'm not sure if its related to speed or height ???Just want to know if it's normal, without anymore configuration, with full-trothle, for the plane start dropping and crash at a climbing situation. Thanks and regards.Pedro Nogueira

I suggest reading the manuals, the PSS Airbuses are not aircraft you can just jump in and fly. They need to be set up properly (weights, fuel, flightplan adn everything else in the MCDU) and the correct procedures followed.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

OK, already read the manuals, but the problem persists.Already installed it on another PC, and the problem is the same.I can't believe that in real world, this could happen ??All is ok and suddnely the plane just start to loose altitude, and I can't do nothing for stopping it. Is there any doc that shows asimple take off procedure for A340, to see if I'm making some error. When it starts falling the trottle is at CL mode and there are no flaps, this happens when the plane is in a stabilized situation beetween 5000/1000 fts.thanks for your help.Pedro

Ok I'll talk you through the early part of an A340 flight with screenshots. It will probably not be posted until tomorrow though.Just re-reading your posts and I suspect that if you are not setting up the aircraft correctly that you are probably overweight and taking off above MTOW. Just a guess but as I said before, this is not a default aircraft that you can just jump in with no configuration of weight etc.I'll p[ost the tutorial and screenshots here as quickly as I can (just stopped for a cup of tea and sit down while building my wife's new chicken house!)Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
