Sidestick Video

Recommended Posts

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68CtL1xcygII was watching a flight deck video of a 330 landing, and it looks like the real sidestick has a lot of "play". I've realized that mine's much more sensitive than that. I think I'm going to try different curved settings in FSUIPC to try to make it less sensitive near the center. Any thoughts?-Alden

go for it!one of the great challenges in FS is oversensitive yoke/joystick control. i've tuned mine down some (really nice that peter added aircraft specific settings to FSUIPC so one can 'tune' each plane's control).note this thread of discussion - http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...=8292&mode=full... you can see how the PF is applying adjustments and then centers the sidestick as the real bus will hold the commanded pitch/roll.--

Alden, like Scoob I too have adjusted my joystick inputes using FSUIPC but I think you do need to have the registered version (available from many places, for example www.simmarket.com - you need version 3.7x not version 4 which is FSX only). As a halfway house you might try adjusting the null zone and sensitivities in FS itself.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
