Hello I had asked this question onced already, but my computer crashed and i needed to re-install FS9. When i load a flight-plan in my MCDU, i put the destination's landing runway. But once i get closer to it and initiate my final approach, the ILS frequency doesn't load, and i'm doomed to finish it manualy, which isn't always easy with 30kts gusty winds. Why is this? What can i do? cheersmat

Make sure you have checked the RAD NAV page of the MCDU. The ILS freq should show up at LSK3L.If it is there, when you press the ILS button on the FCU as part of your descent checks the ILS identifier, frequency and distance should show up at the bottom left of the PFD.Make sure you are not trying to capture the LOC at too sharp an angle.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

... yeah, precisely, it is supposed to show. I am doing all that, yet it doesn't work... it shows at the begining, but then, it vanishes, and there's no way to land with the autopilot. I just wanted to check the procedure, so thatnk's for remiding me...cheersmat

What do you mean "it disappears"? Do you have it showing up correctly in the RAD NAV page and the PFD then it doesn't? I have never seen that happen in the last 4+years. If so I have no idea why it would. Are you starting your FS session in the way we always recommend? Sorry to ask but I'm struggling to work out what is happening here.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
