PSS A33X flare problem

Recommended Posts

Guest Amsterdam

I'm starting to learn the PSS A33X. Everything is perfectly fine, except for the automated landing. The flare is always a bit too late, resulting in a nosewheel landing. Is there any fix for this problem? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you should go to the PSS website and in the Support -> User Edits -> A330/A340 section get the revised flight dynamics by Bob Scott (A330-A340 FDE v1.2J). If you can't find them email me and I'll send them to you.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Another bug I discoverd is the yellow airplane in the ND. After a few turns it is not lined up with the green line anymore? The aircraft follows the route though.

Forget the problem above. The difference is very minor. But I have a huge, annoying error. I just finished LEBL - EHAM, and when vacating my PSS A330 got very touchy and bumpy on the ground resulting in a crash?!

Hmmm, could be.About the flare problem again. The automated landing still isn't perfect. What file is it that I have to tune and edit to get that smooth automated landing?

It is Robert Scott by the way. But I have the files. But in which of the two files can I tune the autolanding: A332.air or Aircraft.cfg?

He calls himself Bob which is short for Robert. You don't do anything, Bob has done it for you with his files which is why I said to get those those files and replace your current aircraft.cfg and air file with his. You will need to keep a copy of the original aircraft.cfg and make sure that you copy the fltsim.0, fltsim.1, fltsim.2....etc sections over to the new aircraft.cfg as they hold your livery details.Unless you know what you are doing with air files and have the AirEd program and lots of patience and a knowledge of flight dynamics I definitely don't recommend you adjust anything in an air file. You can cause havoc with your aircraft. One of the improvements to the flight dynamics with the new files was to the lift scalars which will sort out your nose down issue on autoland. There are lots of other improvements as well.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
