Wrong Indicated Glideslope

Recommended Posts

Guest dogdog1985

At every airports, the ILS are correctly tuned.Everything runs smoothly until below 500feetThe Glideslope magenta (the pink rhombus) is wrongly indicated, it always showing that my plane is below glideslope, implying that I have to reduce the fpmHowever I see the PAPI light of the runway, and it is 2 red 2 white, showing that I am right on the glideslope. So the result is that the glideslope of the PFD is wrong. As a result, I usually land my aircraft manually, Visual landing. How can I fix it, it frustrates me a lot.

There is nothing you can do to fix it as it is a problem in the gauge file. I have the problem all the time and just ignore it and switch off the "Glideslope Glideslope" aural warning, others like you have reported it and I assume everyone is experiencing it. Under FS2002 the problem did not occur but is something that was caused in the patch to FS9. It wasn't picked up and no further patch was issued. I don't have access to the gauge code so there is nothing I can do.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
