Airbus Video Part 2>>Approach & Autoland

Recommended Posts

The flight management unit is referred to in the manual as the MCDU(Multi-Function Control and Display Unit) and is the primary pilotinterface with the flight management system. During this tutorial Iwill refer to it as the FMU (Flight Management Unit) or the FMC(Flight Management Computer). The FMU is capable of many, many other things and our intention is notto investigate that here. You can access this resource thru thesoftware supplier pdf manuals.Let's do this the easy way and learn and add as we go.http://www.crpermits.com/download/pss2.ramBTW: If you want a free player for these streaming files, go herehttp://www.codecguide.com/download_real.htm to get one. No adware etc.like the Real Player one.Enjoy$ORSRR

Thanks for the input, and now that it's done, yes I would make changes as well. However, seeing this was my first attempt at video and it took 7 hours for each 32 minute segment, I think I'll leave it well alone LOL! At least I'm determined once I get started LOL.Next time someone say's the AB doesn't fly, just fire of the links to them!Chhers,Steve Ark

Not sure about all that codec stuff, once you've installed real player just click on the link http://www.crpermits.com/download/pss2.ram and the video should download and run. That's all I did.Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk

Ok Rob. This is part 2 Which is great. How many parts are there? Are these in one of the links above? Sorry to bug you so much, I'm new at this.Rob, I did learn some things from the first video even tho it could have been a little more organized, and spoken/explained slower. I did learn that you can't use the yoke throttle but rather the plus and minus,so you have to give it some credit. It wasn't all that bad. A guy just has to watch it over and over and it can sink in. I have patience and a lot of time on my hands to learn no matter how long it takes. :-)

Thanks for the input guys. I created and published the videos, and yes more could be said and they could be more organized, but if you watch them, they are basically in sequence for take off and landing. As you can see, you are on the flight deck during all this. I hope they helped. If you need advanced tutorial, please make sure to visit Rob's website. Very informative!SORSRR
