Flight planning software

Recommended Posts

PSS I hope this thread is not breaching any rules? Pls advise if it is.What flight planners do people recommend? (payware or freeware)Ideally I would like something that has a map view and will calculate alternates, give fuel burn predictions, estimated times etc. If it can export to the 777 obviously that's a bonus but the other features are more important to me.

Hi Mark,I have been using FS Nav for about a month. Used the trial version before buying and was impressed. Been using it with the T7 with no problems.Carl

Aparently FSbuild planing algorthm needs some work, as i noticed that sometimes it uses questionable (for altitude) airways (which i dont really care for)and the routes are sometimes up to 1000 mi longer than the ones prepared by Route Finder by http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_16.gifhttp://www.avsim.com/pss/banner_es.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/855693/848.png

For flying around Europe, definetely http://www.euroutepro.com/ < perfect utility, as well as the databse with 8000+ flight plans approved by Euro-control.... Export to many formats etc... Im not using anything else for flying Europe

One nice shiney new flight plan ready to import as an FS9 plan (and hopefully soon as a native 777 file)
