How do you clear the FMC?

Recommended Posts

For the new 777's, once a flightplan is entered or originated and activated in the FMC, how do you clear it so that you can change it? If there is a way to clear it and start over I am overlooking it in the manual and unable by trial and error to get rid of the current plan. Thanks:RTH

The way I clear the flightplan is by re-entering the start location on the RTE page of the FMC.I discovered this after I had spent about 20 mins manually entering a very long and complicated flightplan and then I decided to play around with the FMC (without saving the flightplan of course) Oh how I laughed when I saw the whole flightplan vanish!Hope this helpsPhil

Hi Rhodges,The way Phil clears the CDU, entering on the RTE-page a new Origin and Dest, works. When you have saved plans in FS you can use the Route Request option again.Succes,Remy
