Aeroplane swings on landing.

Recommended Posts

Guest jinzo012

I am extremly upset with every landing I've done because the aeroplane swings from left to right, trying to stay on th localizer. Please put up something that will fix this. I've seen this issue addressed elsewhere in the "Support" Forum, however it has not been addressed properly.

I kind of like the swaying, it makes me feel like I am in a plane instead of a railroad car on a track, the PMDGs and LVD are very nice but rock steady on the ILS approach and it isnt realistic. I fly on 737s a lot and we are usually bobbing around on landing...

> I fly on 737s a lot and we are usually bobbing>around on landing...Thats a very "technical" aeronautical term if ever I heard one!!I presume you mean because of turbulence and not because of the aeroplane's general ability to follow a glideslope accurately!Cheershttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif

I'm not a pilot, so thats as technical as I get.turbulance, yes, we almost never run the slope rock solid.

>TURBULENCEI dunno if you guys are talking amongst yourselves, but I can assure you the issue I'm having is not due to turbulence, I had Clear Weather (I know that because I turned off Active Sky, and Real world updates) So PSS please get to the bottom (ot top?) of this.

I've experienced this on all flights thus far - with default loadsheet settings or with added 60000lb cargo at point 1 (200LR).When ils fully captured, full flaps and vref30 as per cdu and no wind the a/c is increasingly unstable laterally and vertically - always have to land manually. Hope it's addressed in the patch.regards,Markhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/markrey/lsd2.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

Can't help you really, I don't have the aeroplane. It seems very expensive if you want to buy all 3 models and some textures. Why are PSS the only company that charges for repaints? As for autoland, I never use it myself onless it's 0/0 vis.Seems a bit silly to do everything automatically, it is a flight simulator after all! Not an autopilot simulator.Cheershttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif

Tim,Some of us just enjoy programming the automaton and then watching it do it's thing :) - the 'magic' someone called it.Anyway I personally don't mean autoland, but rather just normal riding of the ils down to the last few hundred feet - I can't get the T7 to do this.regards,Markhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/markrey/lsd2.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

As I say I havent tried the PSS 777 yet so I can't comment on it at all.I'm sure PSS will solve any problems soon.Cheershttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif

Just finished a BA Flight from EGLL to KIAH, and had the worst swinging imaginable. I remembered back to that "Other Companies" 747-400 that could do a perfect autoland all the way down to Touch Down so I just let the 777 go down all the way, before I knew it BAM Crashed on the runway. I think the real 777 doesn't do this.

Yep, I must agree, the ILS capture oscillations are terrible. Compared to the PMDG 747 which is as smooth as silk. This needs some serious work. Also the frame rates bother me, it is really bad on approach into KLAX on the tutorial flight!Cheershttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif
