Waypoint skipping

Hello:After 3 flights I still have the same problem:1)First waypoint is not followed by the LNAV. I followed the tutorial and read the manuals. It is not clear why it w'ont initiate the LNAV. I need to re-write in the FMC the first waypoint again in order to initiate it2) When a waypoint is at 90

Yep I have experienced this usually on acute angle waypoints, typically final intercept !! So you end up going round in circles..a very oft reported problem.David Miles
