Help Updated to AIRAC 0511 now all my old flight plans messed up

Recommended Posts

1. I have an older AIRAC dating back to earliest PSS airbus days 2002-2003. I updated to AIRAC 0511 by downloading from the AIRAC site and running the installer. It backed up my old navdata. But now all my FS2004 routes are messed up, the first fix in the route is thousands of miles away and a 500 mile flight is now 2500 etc. This is both in the fs 9 B777 as well as all of my airbuses. When I tried to program denovo a route from KSFO to KJFI recall a very old post about this and some utility dating back to 2002 for the airbus that might have addressed this problem. I have never yet done the AIRAC update until today.I hope PSS can help me on this so I don't have to redo all of my old routes! Thanks,Greg

Greg,I do not know 100% if this is the problem in your case, but I would be almost positive that the waypoints that you have in your 2002/03 era flightplans are out of sync with the current 0511 navdata. Waypoints are added/removed/and renamed regularly, (for example the entire route from Adelaide to Melbourne was recently updated and new waypoints and airways introduced - the old ones are no longer active) this is why the AIRAC cycle is every 28 days and by hanging onto a 2002 or 2003 AIRAC the changes did not effect you until now.Stevewww.auspilot.comhttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/26/26_11_8.gifhttp://www.avsim.com/pss/banner_sc.jpg
