Error programming route in FMC incorrect fix distances/bearing

Recommended Posts

I am trying to program a flight KSFO to KJFK with a SID CUIT2 direct to fix LIN [LINDEN VOR 114.8] then on to Melts etc. Using AIRAC 0511.When I start programming the route, select KSFO, then departures, select the SID, then go to route and select LINDEN VOR there is immediately displayed on the legs page a 500+ mile jump from KSFO to LIN VOR.On to MELTS is fine.Interesting I went to PSS Airbus 320 and programmed these same fixes and voila no problem all distance what they should be.Does this suggest a bug in the 777 FMC? I am using the latest AIRAC from the AIRAC website listed in the forum.Greg

Hi Norm or John, its been two days and no answer, wonder why? if the route works in the airbus and not in the 777 does that not suggest a bug?Greg

Well, I figured it out! I was entering the data for the flight at a location that was not the origin of the flight [programming several routes all at once]. Once I moved to the origin location everyhting is fine.My mistake. No wonder no one could answer this one.Greg
