Flight Report: YSSY to KJFK

Recommended Posts

I flew the Boeing Livery from Sydney to New York a couple days ago, thought I would key in what is up. My father-in-law is a chief Delta tech with the 777-200s and he said from what he could tell the LR should easily do this pair (YSSY to KJFK) with a near full load of pax, so my interest was tweaked!Config:80% paxFuel: 80% on take off6,000 lbs on landing.Step climb profile:310, 330, 350, 370, 390, 410Time: 18 hrs 30 min.Comments: I had a good tail wind for more than 60 or 65% of the flight, that might have helped on the fuel quite a bit. I also never stepped early or late. I always made sure I was at the helm when the time was near in the profile. When I entered the Mexican coast I was concerned with fuel, but I resisted the tempation to touch it, once I got up to 390 I was showing a positive fuel estimation and by the time I hit 410 I had plenty!Wilson Hineshttp://www.redeyeexpress.nethttp://www.united-virtual.com --------------------------------------http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/837438/3074.png
