Dep / Arr Page on FCU

Recommended Posts

Guest mhardy

I'm getting a problem with entering the arrival runway heading. When I program my route etc. and I press the DEP/ARR page I am allowed to input the departure runway heading and the EXEC button comes on. After pressing this I am returned to the ROUTE page. However, when I press the DEP/ARR page again to enter the arrival runway heading, the FCU keeps on returning me to the DEP page. The only time I seem to be able to put in the information on the arrival runway heading is before descent. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? In the other PSS products I am able to input both departure and arrival information before I even start up the engines.Regards,Trini2thebone

Don't press EXEC until you have entered the DEP and ARR and deleted any DISCOs - at least that's what I do. I have a one page sheet on the initial programming sequence of the CDU which works fine for me. Send me an email if you want a copy.

Hi,The way i do it which works perfectly is this: While in the Dep/Arr page i click on INDEX; which brings me to the page that gives me the option of Departures and Arrivals.Once you have pressed on INDEX the page should look like this:KLAX <---------- Departure Arrival ------------> KORDIf you pressed on KORD and you still get the Departure RWY's press on either INDEX or INIT and return to the Dep/Arr page and it will work just fine.Hope that helps,Martin Provost

I don't understand how you can insert the Arrival RWY before take-off. The weather can change about ten times before you arrive at your destination; especially on a long flight.Martin Provost

hello, well the dep/arr page is definately not working as it should.after a route is selected..say egll to egcc on the route page (during pre flight cdu route setup)when selecting arrivals on the dep/arr it chages to egll to egll for some reason.....i cant even correct this after im airbourne nearing the destination....i only have access to the selcted departure aerodrome arrivals!!!!!!i seems not to recognize my intended arrival destination and only displays info on the departure airport. any ideas PSS?i hope this explanation helps sort out this possible bug...ive flown several flights online and off line and aside from no online traffic tcas info as mensioned in the sticky post and these crazy cdu misshapps shes a joy to fly. thanks a million for your dedication to flight simulation and another beautiful airplane.best regardsjohn

Anyways thanks Bill!>>Regards, Marco.I have now tried all the data back to 05/09 and it does not work with any of them. It cannot be LAM3A as someone would have mentioned it before. I can also see no reason why one star would stop the cost index being enetered. It needs a better (and younger) brain than mine to sort out the reason. The route from EHAM to EGLL was GORLO UL980 LOGAN R/W 27L using LAM3ABill
