James,Allow me to briefly run down your points before I crash for the night. We are not saying that you have to wait, its merely a sad fact that the FDE in the final release was not of the standard we would want or had experienced during testing. Changes were made in the final build that have made, in particular, the 300 less than ideal. It is being addressed and involved us finding a new FDE specialist; one whos work is very much revered already. You mention price and when you compare our base price of

Fernando, Microsoft has a team of thousands doing QA and look how buggy their products come out. Your post is both rude and inflammatory. No one is blind. There is no way 24 testers can find every problem in every situation. How can 24 testers replicate the thousands of different environments that you will find amongst your end users. I for example run dual liquid cooled video cards with 3 monitors on a Raid setup... I wonder how many of the beta testers run my setup??? I wonder how many use the 78.05 Extrem-G drivers like I do. Now if I had my setup and ran the 81.95 drivers, guess what it is a completely different environment. It is a fact of computing that it is near impossible to put something out perfect on the first try. It is also inevitable that as the team at PSS works to fix one issue it could break something else delaying the release of the patch. Everytime you make a change you have to go back and test it against every aspect of the product. People who want things perfect on the first shot just do not understand. The answer to your question comes only from a substantial understanding of computers and programming. And No, delaying the patch does not cause PSS to lose credibility, if anything it restores their credibility. Yes, they rushed a bit with the initial release so now lets stop pressuring them for the patch like we did for the initial release and let them take their time to get it right. As with every other payware released, yes the first release had bugs but there are plenty of us who still fly the T7 and can work around the issues. I just did KEWR-LIMF (Torino) and LIMF-KEWR without a single issue other than some VNAV issues I have a workaround to. She really is a beautiful bird once you get past her intricacies. It is a mentallity that simmers need to come to accept that if you buy payware on day 1 you run the risk of putting it into a hangar until a patch comes out. PSS is neither the first nor the last for this to happen to.-Paul-PaulLiquid CooledAMD 4000 San Diego2 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2Dual 7800 GTX 24 inch widescreen dual 19 inch LCDRaid-0psolksig.jpg

Paul , take a look on PMDG forum or LevelD. Off course the T7 would never come out perfect on release , but , there was a great number of issues that could be fixed if it was more tested. Let me give you a example , when you are overflying your destination airport , executing a STAR , the FMC trys a suicide descent to the airport and the FMC calls END OF ROUTE. Is this a problem with video cards? If the T7 was really tested , why did it came out with some many issues? Nothing is perfect Paul , but this aircraft should be reasonable , so the simmers could really fly it. And please don't compare PSS products with Microsoft products , they are completely diferent in every aspect. Now imagine if Microsoft lanch the Windows XP and wait more than 100 days (today we complete 100 days) to release a patch.Fernando

Fernando, I have been flying the 777 since release day. i have enjoyed it very much even with the problems it has right now. I am confident that PSS will make this bird top notch with the patch. I would much rather wait for patch to be as right as they can make it than to go through half a dozen patches before it's close to being fixed.

Fernando,Like George I have been enjoying this A/C for quite some time despite its issues. I am not going to get into a PSS V anybody thread but yes, I do have them all and yes, even PMDG took months to get out a service pack that fixed close to 100 problems with the plane. Then what, for some it even introduced more or new problems never seen before. It is amazing how quickly people forget. LVL-D is on SP 2.1 and the plane is almost a year old now. (a few months off) So like George said, lets just give PSS the time they need to bring her up to speed. LVL-D PSS and PMDG are all top notch companies with top notch support, P:)It is quite flyable for some and my point was not that it was an issue with video cards but that there are a million different variables that can never be accounted for. Setup being one of them, FSUIPC settings being another. Look at the 737PIC for example, it took quite a bit of tweaking of FSUIPC to get that FDE stable. Again, uncontrollable environmental variables... I was making an analogy to point out the fact their is no way PSS could have tested everything. They have clearly mentioned on numerous occasions they made a last minute change to the FDE they are working to fix. What else do people need?As for the MS reference, I have two things to say to that. XP is HOW many days old and still gets patched on a weekly basis? Software development is software development no matter how large or small the company and it is valid to use MS as the benchmark considering PSS would not be around if not for MS. How long did it take MS to fix the autogen bug in FS9? It was a heck of a lot longer than 100 days. You really need to be more practical about this Fernando, they are doing their best and we should just leave it at that...No hard feelings, with all due respect,-PaulLiquid CooledAMD 4000 San Diego2 Gigs Kingston Corsair XMS CL2Dual 7800 GTX 24 inch widescreen dual 19 inch LCDRaid-0psolksig.jpg

I have been at TXKF for the last few weeks and avoided posting whilst PSS concentrated on the patch. I have been very happy with the T7 to date and have had none of the major problems faced by others [and I have only a very standard system by today

As a paying customer, I am of mixed feelings about PSS. I'ma keep this short and sweet. PSS has been a cornerstone for my FS experiance since even before it's conception... When Graham was with FSD... That freeware Seneca was the best Graham... seriously :) And I persuaded my brother to buy me PSS' first product which was either the 747 or 777 I think.. I owned em both. And for the first time, as a simmer (since FS 4.0) I felt completely emmersed in the cockpit of a state of the art airliner.. for that I thank you.. no matter what everyone says about "the competition" being better or what have you.. they DONT realize, or must not anyhow, that it was YOU PSS who set the standard for payware addons.. No one could get away any longer with developing a payware addon without atmosphere. With that said... I'm slightly taken back that I have payed for a product (a while back last year, November I think), the 777-300, and have been told that I have to wait for it to work as advertised... It's almost to me like taking the plane and telling you PSS that you have to wait for me to pay for it (although that is impossible). I love what I've seen from this plane thus far.. but feel as though it is lacking. I also feel as though maybe PSS has let their standards, which I discussed above, slip. I dont feel as though PSS is setting the standard with this release.. and it SHOULD be standard setting and earth shatteringly amazing for the price you have put on it, which I happily paid, knowing it was made by you guys. I realize, more than most I think (maybe not) that PSS tests and tests their software before it's released.. and often times pressured by the community to release it.. but realize, it's because of the standards you set previously. (I think you guys get where I'm going). Perhaps broader testgroups are needed? I havent researched how many beta testers you guys have. I have not put this product on the shelf because of functionality... as a matter of fact.. it is one of two planes I find myself flying at the moment... but everytime I see one of these glitches, or a feature PSS has left out I find myself nodding.. and not feeling the same emersion that I felt back then. And some of these features that you say arent "practical" are what most people looking for to make it "as real as it gets" Have we forgotten about that slogan? I feel kind of cheated in a way.. but not to the extent where I'ma flame you guys and say take your product back, I'd like to think I have more faith in you guys than that.50 bucks... I'd like for the flight attendant to pop out of the screen with whiskey and offer me a body shot.. hah... I jest.Anywho.. I have to give it to your technical support... and the fact that you guys are opened minded enough to allow people to voice opinions like these, within reason, on your forum. Thank you PSS.. And I too, wait impatiantly for my experiance to be patched up to being worth what I payed for. Please take this all as praise and constructive criticism. You're customer of mixed emotions,James Walsh

Hello,I purchased this aircraft when it was first released. I downloaded it the day before it was release to everyone who didn't pre-pay.I have kept my mouth shut, up til now. This aircraft has been sitting in my hangar since I purchased it MONTHS AGO. I'm glad some of you are able to enjoy this aircraft. I am not able to use this aircraft, not in its present state of completion.By the time the patch is released, I'll be upgrading to FSX, then I'll be waiting yet again for a compatability patch. At the rate I'm going, I won't be flying this aircraft until 2007!!!Based on the problems I have seen, the length of time it is taking to get a patch out, It is quite clear to me the holiday dollars were more important to PSS than getting this T7 aircraft done right.

Hello Michael,I am sorry to hear that some people can not fly this great product, and I can understand some frustrations some users maybe feeling.Yes PSS made a few mistakes, one of which was bending to public pressure and releasing the product before we should have. That said (and this is not directed at you) I fail to see how repeated spamming in the forum with inflamatory posts with nothing more than the intent to cause disruption can do to help the said users get their patch any sooner. Many of you have seen that I have spent a large amount of time today dealing with such an incident, what was the result of this action?1. I was drawn away from my work on my B757 duties. So that is another day longer before my part of the work is finished2. Any flight testing I wanted to do today on the B777 has been lost, so the opportunity to report back anything new or improved has been lost. Now I do not want you to stop posting in the forums, your comments are important and even if Norman or I do not say something straight away, we have seen your post and if applicable we have or will try your suggestion, but spamming and trying to cause distractions/disturbances is outside of the norm and requires time assigned elsewhere to be devoted to here. (Time management)So please continue to post, but please help us to help you, post once, we will get to you as soon as we can.regards,
