VNAV Confusion

Timand they tell me im not flying the plane properly its my fault?!?!?!?!

People,VNAV is programmed in the FMC. LNAV is programmed in the FMC.*IF* you do not have the FMC programmed correctly, it won't fly what you expect.HS,FLCH,VS,ALT HLD, are all MCP (mode control panel) functions and work regardless of the FMC program.IF the performance, legs, VNAV pages of the FMC are not programmed correctly, and you select those modes, you get JUNK. Just like all computers, bad in - bad out.IF you don't have/take the time to program the FMC -- just fly the MCP.---leo---
