Magic1,Hello, does anyone know of a dc-9 repaint in the air force one scheme? Thanks in advance.

I believe you are looking for the C-9 in VIP colors. To the best of my knowledge the C-9 (VC-9 as it was originally called for VIP duties) was never used as Air Force One. I have not found one, but there is a repaint of the default MD-83 that I came across the other day in VIP colors. I think that it too is marked as Air Force One colors. I think it was in the file library either here or at flightsim.com. Hope that helps.

Magic1Thanks.. I live beside LWB and I get to see the DC-9, 757 and Gulfstream in the Air Force One colors all the time doing touch and go's.

There is no "Air Force One" livery. Any jet the President is on is Air Force one. It's just a specific livery the VIP jets wear :)

I've stopped trying to explain that to people John.Somehow they just don't get it that if the president were to strap on a T-37 (as this president probably could, if he's still current) that that would be Airforce One for the flight.

Actually there is an "Air Force One" scheme. The primary aircraft in the Presidental fleet ARE slightly different than that of the normal Special Air Mission (SAM) aircraft. There are 2 shades of blue used on the Presidental aircraft, and only one shade of blue on the SAM aircraft. Now having said this. This does not mean that if the President is to use a C-32 vice the VC-25 that the C-32 will be repainted into the "Presidental scheme", it won't be, this paint scheme is reserved for the primary aircraft only. Currently there are only 3 aircraft in this scheme, the 2 VC-25's in active service, and the VC-137 tail number 26000 on display at the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.
