Missing SID

Just tried to set up a flight from KORD ( Chicago ). But although I can select a departing runway, there are no SID's. Tried other airports and they are fine (well those I tried ). Also checked my Airbus's and they are the same. No KORD SID's.AIRACS are up to date and I've downloaded and reinstalled them just in case it was a corrupt file.Any ideas ?Drew

That is correct KORD has no SID's (or DP's for that matter as it is a US airport) that can be flown by the FMC so no need to program them!Check out this link for the only ORD departure (the O'hare One) http://www.myairplane.com/databases/approa.../00166OHARE.PDFCheerio,Norman

Thanks Norman. I had found that plate, but didn't realise it meant there were no SID's or DP's. So, does that mean I depart rwy heading and get vectors to the first fix ? In the absence of ATC can I just fly direct to the fix ?Drew

That would be a correct assumption as long as you maintain your initial altitude for 10 minutes and communicate on UNICOM 122.80 (online) your intentions.http://www.centuryhangar.com/siggy.jpg
