tracking magenta line exceeds intersection

Most commercial airliners, whose existance is know to the public, cannot make 90 degree turns.The FMC and autopilot can probably make the turn though, everytime, better than a humOn.

I saw this once on one of my early flights, but I assumed I had programmed a too-sharp angle into the FMC. In my case the the direction of flight seemed to branch - straight ahead to a dead-end at the waypoint, or a right hand turn to the next waypoint on the route. The plane wanted to go straight ahead, so I reprogrammed the FMC to go direct to waypoint No. 2.Could be some bug in the FMC logic?Graeme
