Holiday Group Flight for the 772LR - SQ22 WSSS to KEWR

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,I wanted to let everybody know there is going to be a group flight that will imitate the longest commercial airlines flight in the world: SQ22 from WSS to KEWR.Your looking at about 8,800nm which is about 18:30 hr:mm. The folks at the Singapore VACC are saying they can FULLY staff Singapore from the ground up on VATSIM no matter the time. And I am sure I can get the guys in NY to work something up for us. Ben Hoffman, a real world dispatcher, will be doing a briefing package for the PSS 777-200LR pilots. If you fly a different a/c you can still use the information but you naturally will need to adjust certian aspects. OF course you can fly any livery you desire. If you desire you can fly the PSS Airbus A340-300, which in reality SQ flies the A340-500. You can make it without "mid-air" refueling, but you have to go with almost no weight. The 777-200LR can make it easily with plenty reserve, as it was built to compete directly with the A340-500 on range and actually out last it's Airbus competitor by about 500nm on range. Lastly, there is a "purest" option: CLS developed a fine A340-500, from what I have read and heard. I don't own the software so I can't personally say so, but I have heard good things: http://www.commerciallevel.com/webshop.php...groep=1&cur=USDThe only problem is timing. Up until just a few minutes ago I thought I could make the trip with like a Friday 10:00Z departure, but now I am in limbo with my work schedule. I am not completly sure what to say about the time. As soon as I say one thing another will happen. There is still a good three days to nail that aspect down. It will probably happen in the later hours of Friday, like 24:00Z or 01:00Z on Saturday. So, if anybody, who is interested. Right now it is just three pilots. Myself, an Aussie who is a spectacular pilot who could easily one day be a real world pilot and a fellow UAL pilot who is a long hauler. Let me also say here: I don't expect you to be at the helm for an entire 18:40 flight. We will take off and get to cruise, interact and talk for an hour or so and then go do things and check in during the course of the flight. Then as the flight winds down come in for the descent and arrival planning. Thanks for reading this and I hope you will respond.Wilson HinesMy Blog: http://www.wilsonhines.com --------------------------------------http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/837438/3074.png

I just tried this flight with the 772LR and I had a whopping 68,000 lbs of fuel left at KEWR and I loaded 350,000 lbs of fuel at the gate. Wow, I guess with 65k more you could have flown on to MIA or EGLL.
