V Speed and Fuel Calculator for the 777-200LR

Hey guys,Over at UVA (http://united-virtual.com) I found a utility they have that is supposed to fit every a/c in the UAL fleet for fuel calc and v-speeds. It is an MS Excel spread sheet and it list the 777-200ER. The sheet is write protected, so I unprotected the sheet adjusted the values of the ER to project as would a LR. I got most of my information to fill in the gaps where the PSS manual left off by googling the information and quickly found it. It took me about 15 minutes to figure it out and successfully calculate the fuel and the v-speeds (more important to me) for two or three flights. The spreadsheet was within a very narrow margin of what I figured off of a standard calculator. I fully suggest you getting this spreadsheet to max out your realism with this great a/c.http://www.united-virtual.com/files/docume..._Planner_20.zipWilson HinesMy Blog: http://www.wilsonhines.com --------------------------------------http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/837438/3074.png

http://www2.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_...ad!OpenDocumentAs I understand it, an algorithm in a certain version of software accompanying the GE90-110B engines used on the 777-200LR and the GE90-115B engines on some 777-300ER on a few occasions during a derated takeoff has caused an inadvertant rollback in thrust right around VR, and as a result, any operators of these aircraft are prohibited from using derated takeoffs until GE comes out with a software fix. Yes, this means normal, not flex, takeoffs on ALL 777-200LR and GE90-115B-powered 777-300ER until further notice.Merry Christmas,Ben

Thanks for the information. To be honest, everytime I fly it I have it as full of pax/cargo and fuel as I can get it and the t/o calc says to to full TO. So, it really doesn't bother me.Merry Christmas and have a good and blessed day!Wilson HinesMy Blog: http://www.wilsonhines.com --------------------------------------http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/747400.jpghttp://fs2crew.com/linepilot.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/837438/3074.png

Wilson and others reading this thread ...The UVA planner utility was created by the Training Department at UVA. As is clearly outlined in the spreadsheet and accompanying notes:1. The Planner is copyrighted software.2. Its use is restricted to UVA operations only.3. The Planner may not be reproduced without our written permission, that is, it may not be hosted elsewhere.4. The planner may not be modified without our written permission.Wilson, as a UVA member, I am sure that it is just your zeal for flying that has made you overlook these restrictions.* Orest -~~~~~~~~~Orest SkrypuchUnited Virtual AirlinesChief Pilot, VHQTDUAL003www.united-virtual.com
