FMC manually-entered waypoint problem

Recommended Posts

Flying the 757-200 with the latest AIRACs. Twice I have flown KEWR-EIDW via North Atlantic Tracks. Both times, the first numerical fix was N48W50. I entered those coordinates in the correct FMC format. On both flights, the aircraft turned towards N49W50, despite the FMC clearly reading N48W50. I took LNAV off, returned to the correct track and reinstated LNAV at the following waypoint. Has anyone had a similar problem and, if so, is there a fix?

I have the B777, not the B757, but I have a question regarding the programming of the FMC. Exactly how do you enter lat/lon coordinates of a flight plan? Thanks,Russell

A search found this information which may be helpful for you.If your waypoint is not in data base, you can manually enter its coordinates. The format for such entry is, Nxxxx.xWxxxxx.xfor example, London Heathrow (N51
