Pleasant flight , strong headwinds all the way . Flew very light on the fuel to ensure safe takeoff from the 3900 ft Bronnoy airfield . Decided to climb to 45000 to boost economy , worked a treat . Had a right engine IFSD when centre tank emptied , quick relight of engine and drama free to Rotterdam :)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/184558.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/184559.jpg

Had short of fuel; landed at alternate apt EIWF. Started out with 40% fuel an ran out; will work on this better. Plane lands better with 30% fuel or less. Otherwise good flight!

OuchWell, these things happens, so don't be discouraged. However, in the race you would have been cutting it too close! You must always have fuel for at least one go-around, so in this case you should have picked a closer airport, or another plane.I probably tend to take too much fuel, but that on the other hand gives you the option of taking the baton further, if you run into favorable winds. Just be sure to let people know you are doing this, so the next guy can set up in good time. One more thing: You posted your "Baton Grab" as reply to the previous "Baton Free". Instead, you should post your "Baton Grab" as reply directly to the first post in the thread. Your "Baton Free" is correctly posted as reply to your own "Baton Grab".Once again we can see the value of all this training. This is where we can discuss and try out stuff, without penalty :)BRGDSSven Sorensen, EKCH
