Pilot's Still Needed?

Recommended Posts

Well I didn't want to offer unless I could be reasonably sure I could help... I've read over much of the info here. But right now I have a problem with Duenna recognizing that I am using "real-world wx"; I've tried to find the problem but no luck yet.I was a bit concerned to about offering to help this late as I don't want to be a drag on you guys prepping yourselves and then having get someone up to speed.Well if you all do have time, my thinking was to try to help the team get as many bonus minutes as possible Sat./maybe fly shotgun like on Sat on some of the x-c's to further prep me and be a fallback guy/ and also try to fill in where needed.Rob O.

As Jeroen said, we always need all the help we can get :)Get yourself registered on the private forums (http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=227&topic_id=4842&mode=full), there are lots of information there, about the multiplayer and TeamSpeak servers and tips about pretty much everything :)

Ok thanks,The Duenna did work btw... And I can post the flight from DNKN to DNMK that I just flew in the default King Air.I used the Real-world weather (Static) option. Prior to take-off, the Duenna displayed the "Real-Wx" box as Yellow, so I was convinced it wasn't working correctly (since I was bent on seeing all greens). That just wasn't the case and all was fine. Rob O.

Read the rules at the FSRTW race site. Weather needs to be real world updating every 15 minutes and you need to download winds aloft. Post your duenna and we can see what it is doing.

for some reason it shows as yellow almost no matter what you do...When I set it to update every 15 minutes it still shows as yellow.

Open the Previous Flight.FLT file in your My Documents/ Documents folder for FSX with NotepadNear the bottom is:WeatherWeatherType=3It needs to be set for 3 in FSX. Sometimes we have to make a change by manually editing the file for FSX to start with the proper settings and Duenna to read them correctly.
