Video card update

Recommended Posts

Guest cseidel

I recently up dated my video card from a Geforce2 Ti to a Geforce 4 Ti4200. The strange thing is I get higher frame rates in VC view than I do In 2D view. Example, going into O'Hare with geoff's Debonair in 2D view I was getting between 9 & 11 FPS but in VC view I was getting between 13 & 15 FPS. This is not the exception I always get higher FPS in VC mode than I do in 2D view. It dosen't matter which aircraft or which airport.Chuck

To ensure your test is testing apples and apples, make sure the screen resolutions are the same. For windowed mode, right-click on your empty desktop, select properties, settings, and write down the resolution settings, i.e., 1024x768x32. Start fs2002 to the menu, select settings, display, hardware tab, review the resolution settings for full screen. If they are not the same, adjust to the windowed settings. Alternatively, adjust the windowed mode to the full screen settings.Just make sure they are the same for your test.

performance in the VC mode. Don't know why, but I think flying in 2-d is a pain in the #####, so I am lucky that 3-d is good to me.
