Well, this was mostly before flight simming, so just basic info: Very first flight was on a 727 - sat in back and it sounded like a leaf blower in my ear the whole trip to Florida, the week of "Houston, the Eagle has landed".  Same week, a trip to Nassau in a 30-passenger prop plane.

 

Then, several years later in the 70's, a few trips to LA and San Fran in 747's.  On a red-eye back to JFK, I could count the number of passengers on one hand in coach.  Also a few trips to Barbados in 747's in the 80's, the last one on my honeymoon (Really, really bad turbulence on the return - not an omen though) ...

A few years ago, my last ride was in a JetBlue Embraer 190, I believe.

Most enjoyable flight ever: Sydney to Singapore with an SQ B 744. The flight across the Australian continent was just breathtaking. Sipping champagne, while watching this beautiful continent pass by underneath I will never forget. A close second is the DC-3 flight in Kenia

I was lucky enough to be sent to Sydney on a work trip recently.  I flew in one of Emirate's new Airbus A380s and it was absolutely fantastic.  Even though it was a business trip - there was no business class for me!  The economy setup in Emirates is brilliant.  The aircraft is so spacious, even for a tall guy like me, and extremely quiet.
