I'm thirty-nine and have flown a lot as both a child and an adult. Here's my list:Private:Cessna 172, 206CommercialVickers Vanguard (4-engine turbo prop- Air Canada - big windows!)Vickers Viscount (4-engine turbo prop - Air Canada- big windows!)Boeing 707Boeing 737 - 200, 300, 500, 700Boeing 727 - 100 and 200 Boeing 747 - 200 Boeing 767 - 200 and 300 seriesBoeing 757 - 100 and 200 seriesBoeing 777 - the 200 series used by United for long haulsDouglas DC 8 - 68 series I believe, the long oneDouglas DC 9 - the short original and the more common longer versionsMD 80 - most of those as well, but not on the 717 modelDouglas DC10Douglas MD11Lockheed L1011Airbus A300Airbus A319Airbus A320Canadair RJEmbraer RJDeHavliand Dash 7DeHaviland Dash 8Saab 340Fairchild MetrolinerJetstream XXX (commuter turbo prop)ATR 500Foker 50BAE 111Oops, forgot two more: Convair 550 and the 880 as well. Hmmm...I think that's it. Wow, in retrospect I'm a kind of impressed. I've flown on every major airliner of both the early jet age (except the Electra and I'm still working on that!) as well as most of the modern ones except the big Airbuses. Can you tell my miles are on United...Colin What have you done to promote reducing violence in the world today?

Geez, I haven't been keeping track of the commercial aircraft. I'd guess it's your standard 7x7 (pretty much all of the Boeing 7 series), and any Airbus that's regularly flown on US routes. Also, some Fokker products, and of course CRJs of several types. The non-standard non-commercial flights have been a little more interesting. I've flown in a Cessna 172 and a 182. Also a really gorgeous Travelair 4000 biplane (1928 model) which was a gift from my buddies for my bachelor party last year. You can't beat open cockpit flying for the sheer joy of being up in the air! Oh, unless you got to fly on the one and only B25J "Briefing Time"... that's right dudes, I've gone for a flight on the real thing, and it is AWESOME! Quite deafening, too ;-).

I can count on one hand the times I have flown. As memory serves me I have only been on three commercial flights and the only one that I know for sure was an MD-80 but can't remember the airline. The most interesting flight I took was a short ride in a Hughes 500 helicopter but don't know which model other than it was one of the older ones I think. That was a neat ride, as I was only about 9 or 10 yrs old at the time. My dad had a friend who the flew the Hughes hauling shakes blocks out of the woods in Western Washington and for a while his route to work took him right over our house. We lived in the country so he would frequently drop down in front of the dining room window and wave at us as we were eating breakfast. He came by one weekend and landed in the field next to the house and gave us all rides. That was pretty cool and something I will never forget.
