Yes, these guys are quite astonishing. I have never seen such responsive support for a product, in any field. Omedeto, Aerosim (at least, I think that's how you spell 'Congratulations' in Japanese English!) ...I do, however, recommend a manual install of Update 3. The texture folder in the new 200 (thanks for that, Aerosim!!) is outside 'the box' and only has the two key textures in it anyway. You'll need to put them in the right place and then copy the balance of the textures over from the original 100 series.Files can be manually installed by ignoring the install files and opening the 'data' folder. This is not a bad idea anyway, for the previous updates, if you have added liveries - because in some instances the AIRCRAFT.CFG is overwritten by the updates.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

Can't wait to see what they've worked up with these improvements and now we get the -200 model! {Hoping they 'crowbar in a cargo door on these puppies in the near future.}And speaking of cargo doors and other variants, I wrote AeroSim a few weeks ago asking if they could add onto the DC-10 and DC-8 models and features, they've told me they'll look into it in the future. My lead request in that note was asking for cargo door options on the 8 and 10..and then 'branched out' a bit more sharing my hopes for a DC-10-10 and DC-10-15 model out of this. {I'd really love to have the earliest {pre-PiP} DC-10-10 models with the original engine setup on this with that funky lookin exhaust fairing, couple that to the ole DC-10-10CF frame and I can have the ole Continental "Golden Tail" -10CF's running around like they did back in the 70s..passengers by day, cargo by night. Laker's Skytrain, the early UAL "Friendship" schemes, THY, so many others. Then add the post-PiP -10 model to this..Wow! Just imagine how many repaints we could see out of that one alone. Then add the -15s to this..awesome.}I'll keep hoping for this..these guys are great.RegardsJohn

Sorry if I'm less enthusiastic, but 3 updates for Vol.2 and none for Vol.1? They haven't responded to my email either. Less than impressed.Todd

<<<<>>>>>Surely patches are not a requirement. Have people raised issues about Vol.1? I don't think so, of if they have perhaps not enough to merit a patch as yet. Aerosim's patches to Vol.2 are in direct response to issues raised by their supporters in the Avsim forums. That's service. They haven't responded to my email either. Less than impressed.>>>>>>>>>Perhaps you forgot to write in Japanese :) Give it time, Coneman, give it time ...MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

"Proud Bird with The Golden Tail""Fly the Fiendly Skies of United""Pan Am - makes the going Great"I guess we'll have to break out the polyester, the bell-bottoms, and (gasp) The Leisure Suit. Time to break out the turntable and play "LP's" of the 5th Dimension:D Seriously, I can't wait for the possibilities here. Now I just have to come up with an easy way to implement pre-deregulation AI and scenery.BestBill"I'm still in shock about the 747SP" - the airplane nobody wanted to model.

Hehehehehehe..You read my mind! That was a great time to be alive..I miss it dearly. I was a kid back then and still, I remember just how fun it was to travel by air. It's hard to say that these days. Give me those bell bottoms and polyester..the LP's on the turntable anytime. I grabbed an ABBA Greatest Hits CD collection for my car a few months ago..weird reactions I get driving through Tainan City, Taiwan with "Dancing Queen" or other popular hits on that CD going through the open windows. Kids here think it's "new" music. Yeah, It's "new" if we all of a sudden time-travelled back to 1975 or thereabouts..{LOL!}My ssytem has a bunch of de-regulation era AI and current era AI on it. Weird taxying around the bigger airports with current UAL, AA, Delta, British, Lufthansa, Jetblue, Virgin, Alitalia, current generation US Airways and so forth running around with a gaggle of PeopleExpress, New York Air, Pride Air, TWA, MuseAir, Eastern, Pan Am and 80's era USAir along with a bunch of others I've grabbed from RetroAi Traffic Group. The unbelievable -FLIPPING MESS- it presents air-trafficwise to my virtual New York TRACON makes you thank GOD for that freeware "AI Seperation" program all the more.. Still..I love it so...makes my flying experience FAR more entertaining.. {LOL!}RegardsJohn>>I guess we'll have to break out the polyester, the>bell-bottoms, and (gasp) The Leisure Suit. Thanks Mark, but I can live without the smarmy attitude. That's really helpful.Do you have Vol. 1? As I've mentioned elsewhere the vc windows leave a lot to be desired. I really don't even want to fly them the way they are now. In my mind that really needs addressing. And I certainly have the right to raise those issues as a paying customer, just as you would. Or maybe this is your exclusive forum?Todd

<<<<>>>>Jeepers, Todd, get out of the wrong side of bed today? Lighten up, for Pete's sake, this is not the regular Avsim flame pit. Anyway, my point was only that there have been far less comments about Vol.1 than Vol.2 to date, but I've no doubt that Aerosim are paying good attention. You can't expect a patch overnight for one perceived problem though, surely? Seems JT was taking care of that particular issue you raised, Todd ... did you get the fix yet? I'm interested to know how that was resolved.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]
