Recommended Posts

Guest JTEK99

Thought I'd give the DC-10 flyers out there a heads-up on this outstanding FedEx repaint from Darth Mop. Feast your eyes:http://img324.imageshack.us/img324/1072/f7dg0nr.gifhttp://img324.imageshack.us/img324/4187/f18ky9fr.jpghttp://img324.imageshack.us/img324/3410/f26ne2ow.jpghttp://img324.imageshack.us/img324/8269/f33ax3lz.jpghttp://img324.imageshack.us/img324/7747/f48dt1cm.jpgFantastic weathering on this one and absolutely on target; get it while it's hot. Love what Darth Mop did with the fuselage; this paint really LOOKS like a Cargo runner.Absolutel kudos to Mr. Mop for this repaint. See more screenies and info in this thread:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=225688&page=Can't wait to fly this baby!

This is a great looking paint - however, the installation instructions are appalling. (ie: "I think you know how to install this file").Well I have a sense of humour too, but treating people like idiots does not endear this author to me. The Aerosim DC-10 comes in a "-30" series and a "-40" series, and there are several models as well. Would it be too much trouble to include the relevant information for the aircraft.cfg?

The "instructions" sort of alienate a huge number of people that want to enjoy this paint, but might not have the knowledge to create an entry in the aircraft.cfg.

>The "instructions" sort of>alienate a huge number of people that want to enjoy this>paint, but might not have the knowledge to create an entry in>the aircraft.cfg. More than that ... he does not specify which model it is for, and supplies only the textures he has changed, so other textures need to be transferred from a base set. Then yes, there's the AIRCRAFT.CFG entry too ... Darth Mop, if you read this, perhaps next time you'd take the trouble to spend five minutes on your README after spending hours on the paint! For sure, anyone new to this game wouldn't have a clue what to do with your files.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

>So does anyone KNOW what model this is for?>Mark:Definitely. It's for the DC-10-30 model (your AS_DC10_30_CL2 folder). If you need more help setting it up, let me know.
