Missing "Loadsheetdm.wav"?

Recommended Posts

Guest Mike Franks

Prior to getting my loadsheet, I get the following error box..."Creation Failed - Check if Sound File is Available." Above this statement appears the file location followed by "Loadsheetdm.wav". I click OK and get back into the cockpit and everything is working (the loadsheet is waiting for me). I'm assuming this is the file it can't find. Besides pissing off the FA and getting fired by the airlines, this is the only problems I've had. Any idea what's causing this?Thanks...great product!MikeP.S. What's the FA's address so I can send her some roses :-)

Hi Mike,Congrats! You found a real snag! I am amazed that no one from the Denmark voice region has reported this yet.Basically the loadsheet recording for the Denmark voice region is missing, so if you're in Denmark FS2Crew will go searching for a .wav file that's not there. This only affects people who fly in the Denmark voice region.I'll add this to Service Update 1.3.In the meantime, just do this:1. Go to FS9/Sounds/FS2Crew/ATR/Misc2. Make a copy -I repeat, a copy- of "loadsheetde.wav"This is the loadsheet recording used in the German voice region.3. Rename the copy to "loadsheetdm.wav"You'll now have a German accent in Denmark for the Loadhsheet dialogue, but c'est la vie. I'll fix this in Service Update 1.3Cheers,Bryan

Thanks Bryan! I like to fly from EKBI to EKCH and back. I only reported it because I was getting tired of having to get out of the sim, click "ok", and then reenter the sim and finish my preflight. Thanks for the fix. Fortunately, I don't know the difference between a German accent and a Denmark accent (no offense to anyone). Maybe I'd recognize the difference if it was more than just a few words.Mike

Hmmm, I guess that I should have found that problem.Guess I should try and fly out from my home airport some more. But I've been flying and testing elsewhere - sorry.
