Service Update 1.3 Final now Available!!!!

Recommended Posts

Captains,I just uploaded Service Update 1.3 Final. This is a free update and is for FS2Crew ATR CD-ROM and Download Owners. This will likely be the last update for the ATR Edition.Service Release 1.3 Final9 January 2006Download link:http://66.135.39.111/fs2crew/FS2Crew%20ATR%20SU1.3F.zipSize: Approx 3.3 MBService Release 1.3 Final3 February 2006Changes:1. For users from the Netherlands, handling of below sea-level airports has been improved. The pilots will now correctly read-back altitudes associated with below sea-level airports (indicated altitude in the FCP checklist and landing elevation in the Descent checklist).*At first I didn't think it was possible to do this, but where there is a will there always a way...2. The FO will now set the TCAS mode to "Below" during the descent.3. The rate at which the Main Button will reset to 0 has been slowed to help prevent the Main Button from going into negative numbers resulting in certain users being required to press the Main Button an extra time in order to switch modes.4. The time at which the FA panel will open has been increased to help prevent the FA from calling you while she is giving a cabin brief.5. Active Sky ON (AS ON) is now the default ATIS setting. If you do not own Active Sky, you may leave AS in the On position should you not wish the FO to attempt to obtain the default ATIS.Service Release 1.3 Public Beta7 January 2006Changes:1. Bolstered the logic to help ensure the FA enters the cockpit at plus 0 minutes.2. Corrected missing loadsheet wav for the Denmark voice region.3. Users can now open the Landing Data Card anytime the wheels are off the ground via the hidden clickspot located on the chronometer.4. The FO will now hand you the Landing Card 50 miles back of the TOD. This will be of benefit for Radar Contact and Default ATC users who are often assigned early descents by ATC well before reaching the FMC computed TOD point.5. Support for Active Sky users has been incorporated. A new button is available on the Departure Briefing Page (AS On/ AS Off). AS stands for Active Sky. If AS is selected on, the FO will tune Com2 to 122.00 at pre-departure plus 12 minutes as indicated on the watch to obtain the ATIS. During cruise, the FO will obtain the ATIS on 122.00 at TOD plus 65 miles. If AS is selected to off, the FO will obtain the MS default ATIS if it is available at pre-departure plus 12 minutes. Moreover, if AS is selected to off, the FO will not attempt to obtain the arrival ATIS during the cruise as the MS ATIS is generally not available at ranges greater than arrival airport plus 50 miles.http://www.fs2crew.com/images//depex.jpg6. A thru-flight wav associated with the FO's pre-flight check has been modified to prevent confusion. Previously the FO would indicate that the FMC still needs to be setup regardless of the FMC's state of completion.7. Users can now use the right mouse button to scroll down SID/STAR and IAP selections on the Departure and Arrival Pages. The left mouse button will still scroll these selections up. 8. During the FCP checklist, the fuel readout is rounded up to the second place.9. The FO's LOC and GS deviation callouts have been modified to help prevent incorrect calls. The gear must now be in the down position for these calls to become available.10. The Pre-Flight sequence can now be paused by clicking the lower right hand button on the watch. The letter "P" will be shown to indicate that FS2Crew is paused. A chime will play when you pause FS2Crew this way. The sim can be un-paused by clicking the same button. Note: The pause feature only works for events prior to the Before Start Checklist (Time 30 to Time 0).http://www.fs2crew.com/images/watchex.jpg11. A minor display issue has been fixed. Previously during the FO's thru-flight flow, the FO would set the DH knob to the off position, but the DH readout would not go to 0.12. The Capt's autopilot on call is now available in Climbing, Level off and Cruise Modes.Service Release 1.2Changes:1. You must now hit the ET button on the chronographer to trigger the Captain's "Timer's On, Taking Off" call.2. Corrected a bug associated with the localizer deviation calls.3. Tweaked the logic for the 10,000 foot calls to help ensure they play properly on Thru-Flights.Service Release 1.1Changes:1. If the Prop Brake is not on, the Capt will not indicate that it is on during the FCP checklist.2. The Captain will now correctly read back the fuel quantity if the ATR is configured to display pounds.Service Release 1.0Changes:1. When the ATR loads, the Prop Brake will no longer load in the On position. You MUST now manually engage the prop brake yourself prior to starting Hotel Mode. This should rectify any Prop Brake issues.2. Under certain circumstances, it was possible that when the FO changed the Power Management setting to Takeoff (TO) during the approach with less 25% TQ the props would drive up to 100% NP (that's the go-around setting). This is now fixed.3. Improved the lat/long coordinates for France so French voices will play at LFPG and LFMN.4. Improved the French voice set.5. Enhanced the voice region coordinates for France and added the following areas to the French voice region: French Guiana, French Polynesia, Cote d'Ivoire and L'ile de la Reunion.6. The chances of the FO reporting a snag with the aircraft after his walkaround have been significantly reduced.7. FO's localizer deviation calls will now only play at altitudes lower than the arrival runway elevation plus 1800 feet. Previously the deviation calls referenced the Radar Altimeter, resulting in deviation calls incorrectly playing if flying over high terrain.8. The Manual is now updated to V1.4. Among other things, changes include a bolstered Troubleshooting section and further explanations on how to use the De-Icing and Ground Communications Panels.9. An extra PA was added to the PA panel for Missed Approaches. The new MAP PA button is only visible while the aircraft is airborne.10. The 10,000 Feet, Landing Lights On/Off call will now only function below 10,300 feet indicated. This is to help prevent users from confusing FS2Crew's internal logic if they accidentally click the Altimeter click spot over 10,300 feet. The 10,000 foot call for the descent is also now only available in modes after the En-Route phase.11. The FO will no longer call "Glideslope STAR" during the Approach if Nav 1 is not tuned to an active ILS frequency.12. The FO will now hand you your Landing Card 30 miles back of the TOD. Previously he would hand you the Landing Card 20 miles back of the TOD.13. The PAX Oxygen Supply Switch is no longer stuck in the On position. If you have any questions, please direction them to the FS2CrewSupport forum.Thank you,The FS2Crew Team

Japhy,Just remembered what it probably is. Take another look at the FAQs.You probably installed another addon that overwrote the special FS2Crew Gaugesound.dll after you installed FS2Crew ATR.Re-install FS2Crew ATR or manually copy the updated gaugesound.dll from the FS9/FS2Crew folder. Instructions can be found there.FS2Crew must have the most current gaugesound.dll.Cheers,Bryan
