Use in VC or no?

Recommended Posts

Bryan,I read your beta fix thread. Can I use this program on a single monitor in VC? From reading the thread, it seems like the dual monitor is the one that what fixed for VC.

Hi Eric, you can use the program and the fix also if you are running single-monitor system only and flying from the vc, but it is VERY important that you follow the steps explained in the manual to load the aircraft: You have to load the default cessna first, then shut off the engine, turn off both battery switches but leave the avionics master on! Don't use any pre-defined cold&dark standart situation as this won't work (I tried it). You really have to go the way explained above. So, first of all load the cessna, perform the steps above and transfer to your departure airport PRIOR switching to the PMDG as this may cause great problems. It is also better to load the PMDG VC plane from the Cessna 2D-panel and not the VC... . Hope that helped a bitGreetsBenny

Hello Erik,Yes, Benny is right. It appears that the problems people had with the VC cockpit on single monitor setups related to not following the proper set-up procedure or simply doing something we later found out you cannot do -for example, switching to a different airport while the PMDG is loaded. See the pinned FAQs thread for more info. FS2Crew comes with 11 manuals, so it's easy to miss a thing or two!All the best,Bryan
