Crosswind info from F/O?

Recommended Posts

Hiya.My appologies for coming with suggestions before this program is even launched but I got this idea this very windy morning. It would be neat to have the F/O call out the crosswind factor at certain heights during short final as a selectable option. The info can be seen in the FMC so it should be possible to extract it somehow (not being a programmer I have endless faith in what can be done, lol).As I can imagine that this kind of feature would need a lot of wav-files it would perhaps be better with a few warnings such as "Crosswind near limit" and "Crosswind above limit".Just an idea.

Hi Tord,FS2CREW fully models the FO's callout if the cross wind component is excessive during an autoland. In addition he calls out if you exceeded any aircraft limit which could be harmfull for a safe landing (e.g. too high speed).
