ALTN Airport

Recommended Posts

I set up a flight today with the intention of having a mech problem and having to return to starting airport. After takeoff checklist was completed I switched to PA and announced mech problem. Then on FMC I selected ALTN as my starting airport. After this I really had problems getting to the approach checklist....finally got it done but was not very smooth. What is the correct procedure in this case to initiate the approach checklist. thanks,As a side note for the LDS767 experts, after I selected ALTN, I then went to the DEP/ARR page hoping to select a runway but none appeared. Any ideas?Mark.

Hello Mark,Anytime you brief the STAR (play the recording), you will put FS2Crew into Descent Mode.So if yo want to return to your departure airport, you will need to brief for the STAR first. The first click of the Main Button will start the Approach Checklist after you've done this.Hope that helps,Bryan

Thanks,I've got more than one computer running at the same time and five different projects all going at once, not to mention a two-year who is presently spilling Coke on the floor. What can I say. I've truly got multi-tasking down to a fine art!Bryan
